Who can sign a BAS?

Who can sign off a BAS statement on my behalf? Do they have to get my written consent?

Top 10% Accounting

The declaration for lodgment of a Business Activity Statement must be signed by one of the following or an individual authorized by them
 

  • A director or public officer of the company 
  • A trustee of a trust, or 
  • An officeholder of an association.
  • A Partner of a partnership

Absolutely. How will someone show proof that they are "an authorized individual"? Is there a particular document that must be issued, and if so, how/where does one go to get one?
