How much do YouTubers charge for advertising?

What is the average cost to collaborate with YouTubers on paid sponsorships/ads?

The cost of collaborating with Youtubers on a sponsored advertisement is generally more expensive than collaborating with influencers on other platforms.

On average, brands pay around $2,000 per 100,000 subscribers a YouTuber has for a sponsored post.

For example, if a Youtuber has 500,000 subscribers, then it's expected that they would charge $10,000 for a sponsored post.

However, this isn't always the case. How much you spend on collaborating on a sponsored post with a Youtuber depends on the following:

  • The average number of viewers (or subscribers). The more subscribers a YouTube channel has, the larger your reach when partnering up with them, but be careful. Subscriber numbers can be a little misleading. Be sure to look at metrics that point to high user engagement like:

    • Likes/Dislikes

    • Comments

    • Shares

    • Watch time

  • The type of advertisement you want. YouTubers have two ways to advertise a partnering business.

    • A shout-out ad

    • A dedicated video

You are probably familiar with both approaches. A shout-out ad occurs in a video when the YouTuber takes a break from the video topic to talk about a product or service for 20 to 30 seconds before switching back to the original topic. A dedicated video ad is when a YouTuber releases a whole video that revolves around your brand. While rates for these vary, you generally would have to pay more for a full-featured video than a shout-out advertisement.

I hope this answered your question! If there's anything else that needs clarification, please let me know. :)
